Through the design process, we discovered that Ruthann wanted a simple band with a solitaire setting, but set as low as possible - which resulted in several revisions with the CAD designer to get the diamond mounting set deep into band. This will stop the ring from snagging, and is conducive to her busy lifestyle.
We also had her try 16 different thicknesses across two styles, (flat and comfort fit) and she discovered that a cigar band was the style she most gravitated towards.
The diamond we sourced is also perfect. Not only is it a Hearts & Arrows diamond, it sits in the intersection between GIA Excellent and AGS Ideal grades. These grades take into consideration the table %, crown angle and pavilion angle of the diamond. In english - it’s among the best cut diamond available. (Of all the C’s, cut is the most important).
Things of note
• Since the ring is set low, a second band would most likely not sit flush. Ruthann is aware of this limitation.
• The stone is already sourced, once payment is made the ring will go into production with a 2 week turn around. Delivery of completed ring is 2-4 weeks. If it’s completed faster, we will of course expedite delivery.
• Since all Lady Amalia jewelry is bespoke, we cannot accept any returns.
• Rings come with a one year craftsmanship warranty.
